Chad Elliott & Kathryn Severing Fox Live in Concert, May 18

Join us Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Board & Batten, LLC (1408 Walnut) 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for some amazing live music!

Chad and Kathryn will again be performing at Board and Batten!

For those who haven't yet heard Chad, he masterfully blends folk roots, swampy blues and soulful writing to deliver an original Americana sound. His live performances have been honed over a decade of being on the road performing more than 200 shows each year. He has penned more than 1,500 songs in his career while also cultivating his skills as a painter, sculptor, illustrator and author.

Kathryn also has a long list of credits to her name - including: 

• A two-year tour stint in 2017 as the sole violist in the crossover string octet, Barrage 8
• Courtesy Faculty at the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University
• Played in Nanjing China with the Hollywood Film Music Orchestra
• Actively plays fiddle and sings with the Florida-based Western Swing group, The Suwannee Swing Saloon
• Plays and sings with her twin fiddle partner in the jazz duo, Rivers Duo
• Gigs regularly with The String Prophets (Bob Pace & Kathryn Severing Fox) and with various singer/songwriters and bands in and around Des Moines.

Jimmy's bar at Board and Batten is open and offers a selection of domestic and imported beverages for purchase.

The store has also been reorganized to make room for great new merchandise - amazing artwork is on display along with an eclectic mix of antique, gift and boutique items.
