Ropert Wates in the B&B Basement Speakeasy, May 21, 2026

Join us Thursday, May 21, 2026 in the Basement Speakeasy at Board & Batten (1408 Walnut) 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm as we welcome Rupert Wates to our stage for the first time.

Rupert is an internationally touring singer-songwriter, born in London, based in the US since 2007. Rupert's material is all original, acoustic melodic art/folk also including several solo virtuoso guitar pieces in his set.

Since coming to the US Rupert has won more than 50 songwriting and performing awards.  In 2018 he was a finalist at the Kerrville New Folk Song Contest, and an Emerging Artist at Falconridge Folk Festival.  In the last five years alone 30 of his songs have been covered by other artists, including three tribute albums to his material funded and recorded by performers in Nashville, Denver and Los Angeles.
