Join us Thursday, October 23, 2025 in the Basement Speakeasy at Board & Batten (1408 Walnut) 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm as we welcome Sean Michael Sullivan to our stage for the first time.

Sean Michael Sullivan is an Iowa singer-songwriter working at the crossroads of alternative folk and Americana. After moving back to Iowa in 2020 he has played more than 200 gigs. His 2023 release, Torn, Falls and Thunder, pairs close-mic’d arrangements with plainspoken lyrics that trace Midwest landscapes, family ties and an unflinching journey through mental-health struggle into recovery. Onstage Sean’s voice and songwriting are the differentiators: about half of every set is original material, supported by passion-driven, acoustic covers. Sullivan is the singer, songwriter and guitarist for the band Meadowbrook Circle.
